Carolyn Hou
Founder, Arlo Labs

Carolyn is the founder of Arlo Labs, a boutique consultancy specializing in user research and product design and development for healthcare and tech companies.

Applying methods and theories from cultural anthropology, social psychology, and behavioral economics, Carolyn helps companies better understand and design for their users.

Her work has led to multiple award-winning designs on the market. Carolyn completed her graduate degree in Anthropology at the University of Oxford, where she also served as President of Oxford Women in Business. She currently resides in New York City.

McLean Donnely 
Principal, The Makery

McLean is the founder of The Makery Group, a mission-driven user experience design & education firm in Minneapolis.

Previously, McLean was the Vice President of User Experience Design for Shutterstock  and a Design Manager for Expedia. He has won a Webby Award for Best of Use of Artificial Intelligence in Design as well as a UX Magazine Design for Experience Award for nonprofit design work.

McLean earned a Masters of Business Administration from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Arts at Gettysburg College. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Design at the University of Minnesota.
